Akcela Ventures is pleased to announce a new incubation agreement with Thieves Studio.
Thieves Studio’s focus is on creating immersive, story-driven horror games using the latest Unreal Engine, Unreal 5.1. With their first game already in development, Thieves Studios will begin preparing to scale their operations with the support of the Akcela team and wider Norwich games community.
Co-founder Tereza Dankova said, “We’ve been working on our first release for a while, but we now have a much clearer idea about the company we’re trying to build. So as well as making a game we have to build a company. We’re looking forward to working with Akcela Ventures on this wider project.”
The announcement comes just days after another gaming company based out of Akcela, Newfangled Games, unveiled a partnership with Netflix. Newfangled Games Co-Founder, Henry Hoffman, will support Thieves Studio in an advisory role.
Speaking on the recent announcement, Akcela Ventures Partner, Tom Wood, sees this as another positive step for the growing gaming cluster within Norwich city centre.
