Big news from the Akcela community, Moss Monkey Games has officially closed their seed enterprise investment scheme (SEIS) round! It’s a huge step forward for the team as they gear up for the release of their much-anticipated first title, Outclaw.
Based in Norwich and part of both the Akcela and Norfolk gaming communities, Moss Monkey is another great example of local talent making big moves as the region’s creative tech scene continues to grow.
The round was advised by Ashtons Legal LLP and marks a big milestone for the Moss Monkey crew – a team made up mostly of recent Norwich University of the Arts graduates with a shared passion for games and innovation.
Moss Monkey’s success is another win for the future tech programme, which is funded by Connected Innovation and Norfolk County Council working in partnership with Akcela Ventures here in Norwich, showing just how strong our ecosystem for creative and digital startups has become.
They now join other rising stars from the Akcela Incubator, like Glowfrog Games and Newfangled Games, who’ve also gone on to secure funding and make their mark in the industry.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for Outclaw and the talented team behind it – the future of gaming in the region looks seriously exciting.
